Now, onto the autumn games…
Rangoli is a traditional Indian art form made of coloured sand or powder. Similar to our other painting games, the beautiful colours and patterns will come to life as you interact with the surface. This game is perfect for the weeks leading up to Diwali. You could try adding a sand tray to bring a sensory element to this game.
In addition to our existing Word Search games, we have added a new portrait oriented version of the game. There is also an extra difficulty level for those of you looking for a challenge that introduces 6 letter words.
We’ve also developed a Scottish Gaelic version of our Finish That Phrase game. Celebrate St Andrews day on November 30th by learning some Scottish Gaelic sayings!
Transform any surface into an autumnal wonderland with our new Falling Leaves game. Watch as the autumn leaves fall down in this peaceful scene. Relax with a warm cup of tea and take a moment to reflect.
In need of some sunshine during the darker months? Watch as white fluffy clouds drift across a sunny sky in our new Clouds game. This is a great game to play on the ceiling and with residents who are unable to get outside.
In our new Fish Tank game, watch the fish swim through their aquarium for a relaxing, ambient session. You could try adding a water tray for a tactile feeling and to increase the sensory elements.
A trip out to the coast can now make its way to you in our new Harbour game. Listen to the sounds of the harbour in the gentle breeze as you watch a relaxing harbour scene.
Watch a trickling stream and bright autumn leaves in our relaxing new Flowing Stream game. This game is great for a nature or sensory based session.
Imagine yourself on a tropical island with the swaying palms around you in our new Tropical Palms game. This could be a great game for a small summer pick-me-up when it begins to get dark and stormy outside.
Adding to our existing radio stations, we now have Hindi Radio. Tune the old wireless radio to hear Hindi Bollywood songs from the 50’s and 60’s!
We’re dedicated to making sure that the Happiness Programme is always the best that it can be. As part of our efforts to do this, we regularly make small changes to existing games. Your feedback is important to us, so here a few small changes that you can expect to see as part of our autumn release:
We encourage feedback on all the new features, so if you have any thoughts or comments don’t hesitate to send us a message through our contact page on our website.
The Happiness Programme is a first-of-its-kind initiative helping to change the lives of people living with cognitive challenges. We use interactive light technology to provide meaningful activities for residents and patients in care homes and care settings. For more detail on what the Happiness Programme is and how it’s helping care venues across the UK, visit our getting started page.
Alternatively, jump to our dementia, learning disability and NHS pages for more specific detail on how it’s helping care homes like Barchester and HC-One as well as hospitals and local authorities such as St George’s Hospital, London and Westminster and South Kensington Council.
